At the center of the story is a queer romance that sets this apart from many other slashers of its ilk, and there's enough comedic relief to keep this from being bogged down as a horror film of the self-serious type. Rumors swirl that it's all to do with a witch's curse from the 1600s (which is covered in the third movie), and in this 1994-set film a group of teenagers find themselves the target of a bevy of masked killers as the try to figure out what's going on and how to survive it. Very much drawing influence from Scream, this R-rated slasher takes place in the town of Shadyville, where people going back decades have a habit of going on violent killing sprees. The first installment of Netflix's Fear Street trilogy of films is an absolute blast from start to finish. Haleigh FoutchĬast: Kiana Maderia, Olivia Scott Welch, Benjamin Flores Jr., Julia Rehwald, and Maya Hawke The heightened realism, combined with Bertino's commitment to silence over spectacle, creates a piercing atmosphere of dread and the dawning realization that this could be happening next door, or worse, to you, should you be unlucky enough to be at home when sadistic strangers come calling. Divided, but obviously still in love that's when a trio of masked assailants shows up on the porch of their remote vacation cabin whispering threats, silently stalking the halls of their home, and doling out calculated moments of all-too-realistic violence. There's a haunting randomness and pointlessness to the violence beset upon our heroes Kristen and James, played by the painfully sympathetic Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman. In a decade filled with home invasion horror, Brian Bertino's blunt-force simple and honest entry still endures as one of the best. It’s the kind of movie that makes you feel like there’s something, unseen, always lurking, ready to eat you alive - and then when you finally see it… well, that’s no mercy, because it turns out an enormous man-eating shark is terrifying in its own right. A truly astonishing feat of filmmaking, Jaws is a masterful character drama wrapped up in a thrilling survival tale about the horrors of nature (and poor governance, while we’re at it). And man, if you’re not afraid of a giant killer shark? Well, you are made of tougher stuff than most of us. Writers: Peter Benchley and Carl GottliebĬast: Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary, Murray Hamiltonįor some reason, a lot of folks don’t consider Jaws a horror movie these days, but that is some pretty impressive recency bias because when it first came out, Steven Spielberg’s killer shark movie was so effective at terrorizing the audience, it famously scared people away from the beach. Though just be aware I do things in my own order in the text, simply because I feel like I found a route that involves less traveling around the map and putting yourself in unnecessary danger. While health experts still have much to learn about COVID-19, its remarkable ability to spread and the agonizing death it inflicts on a small percentage of its victims, is readily evident. In a contest between life and a vibrant economy, the choice is clear. Life is the ultimate gift, and its protection must be paramount among government’s duties. The Declaration lists life as the first inalienable right, whereas most other nations prior to that time had treated people as subjects with few definable rights and little recourse against corruption or its consequences. Constitution entrusts power to the people, not to the state or a ruling class. One of the unique beauties of this nation’s founding documents is that they elevate the value of human life. It is a time to trust medical experts and institutions, and the politicians who take their advice and impose, or in many cases simply suggest, restrictions. It is a time for cooperation and compassion. Many Americans have a natural instinct to defy authority, but this is not the time for rebellion. That conflict led to protests over the weekend in Salt Lake City and other parts of the nation, involving people who either don’t understand the seriousness of a pandemic and the emergency measures needed to prevent its spread, or who believe liberty and the pursuit of happiness should outweigh life.Ĭlearly, both are dangerous problems. The foundational principle behind the Declaration of Independence is to allow for “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Today offers a rare moment in history when those three concepts seem at odds with one another. 12/18/2022 0 Comments One direction history video oficialWith Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan. Smartphones can record in 4K UHD, 8k and 16K resolutions are on the horizon and the VEGAS video engine needed this overhaul to stay current. This is an important step if VEGAS is to remain relevant as higher and higher video resolutions become more readily available. There are certainly a lot more optimisations that have taken place because everything feels faster. I added a transition between two clips and was surprised that the preview showed me the transition immediately. Every action I took felt faster, smoother and more concise. Working with clips in VEGAS 14 and previewing your changes was a little sluggish at times, I remember comparing scrubbing in VEGAS 13 to Adobe premiere and thinking I should just get used to Premiere! Once again though I am pleased to say that VEGAS 15 feels as slick as it looks. MAGIX has freshened things up without changing too much of what was here already and it’s clear a great deal of time has been taken over getting this right. There is a feeling of modernisation and streamlining but everything is exactly how we left it. I think MAGIX has done a great job of making VEGAS 15 Pro their own without messing things up and I think one of the main consensuses on the forum was that people didn’t want the GUI they had been used to for nearly 15 years being tampered with to the extent that they needed to learn how to use their software all over again. Overall, I really like the new default darker interface but if you don’t, you can choose from four background colour options: Dark, Medium, Light and White and again it shows the thought that MAGIX has put into the software. If you use these functions regularly, having the ability to edit the visible button set so they are visible at the top of a clip is a clever idea and will be a great time saver. The familiar Pan and Crop and FX icons appear as default but here too there is also and a little drop-down menu that contains access to and options to display Generated media, Active take information, Playback Rate, Freeze Frame at Cursor and Selectively Paste event attributes. It might not seem like an impactful difference but this one little change has made it so much easier to work with multiple files and cuts that I suspect over time, I will save hours of searching. I really like this change.īasic functions like importing media are identical, however, when you put a clip on the timeline you now get a heading over each one. This is done on a track by track basis too which means that the entire header section looks clean with only what you need visible until you decide otherwise. It’s now much cleaner by default however, there is a drop-down that will allow you to edit the visible buttons, even the scribble strip is hidden until you click on it. Another example of customisation is on the video track header. If this doesn’t suit you, customise your own workspace. I will come on to customisation later but you really can make VEGAS 15 Pro YOUR editor.įor example, the trimmer is available on a tab next to the preview but it’s not a feature I use, I prefer to edit directly in the timeline, so I have my workspace set up so that my preview is displayed on a separate monitor to my right, my media and FX are on a third screen on my left which gives me a huge workspace for the timeline and this way I have a sense of the video as a whole. The colour scheme is generally darker by default, something I prefer as it’s easier on the eyes and each of the colourful icons is exactly where it should be. When I first opened the software, I was presented with a new, yet familiar interface, MAGIX had to make this product their own and the interface was an obvious place to start but I was very pleased that they didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. I have been using VEGAS 15 Pro Suite now for several weeks and having spent the last few years using various iterations of VEGAS software I am very familiar with it so felt comfortable jumping straight in but I was also very keen to find out if the numerous requests on the forum had been addressed or if any suggestions made there had transitioned to the product. They had an established product which people knew how to use, they had a large user base still using outdated software because it did what they needed it to do and they had fresher, cheaper competition gunning for a large chunk of their market so it was never going to be an easy task to make VEGAS 15 the must-have video editing software. Getting VEGAS 15 Pro right would be “make or break” in my opinion for MAGIX. So, with VEGAS 15 Pro in our hands have MAGIX finally shaken off the Sony mantle and how does this, their difficult second album shape up? Last years’ VEGAS 14 is still called Sony VEGAS by most people I talk to, in fact, search for Sony VEGAS on Google or eBay and you will find many results for VEGAS 14. So feel free to 1) cast an igni to melt the armor, whirl infinitely due to no stamina usage, or when you get bored of that, hard attack to increase the enemy’s damage resistance by 25 and then Rend the shit out of it. You are now ridiculously fast as opposed to the enemy and have infinite stamina, due to having 3 adrenaline points. After your yrden, pop a superior blizzard and 2 maribor forests (you have tons of toxicity anyway, you can even pop a decoction if you like). If an enemy requires more damage input (ie high health), the following strategy applies. Once the enemy is trapped in the zone at roughly 70% speed reduction, you can cast an alternate yrden and just hack away while they spasm or watch them scream and burn at your mercy with igni. The idea: Yrden is a sign which at first doesn’t help much, but with a high sign intensity, and when you can lay 2 traps, you basically mark a whole area as a killzone. Bombs and crossbow are as preference dictates. I usually slot a superior blizzard and superior maribor forest potion. That is why my build turned out this way.Īdditional requirements besides wolven armor is 7 10% Yrden armor runes, and 6 veles runes (sign intensity for the weapon). First of all, everybody has it’s own way of playing, and I respect that, but as far as combat goes, I like using sign’s utilities to render the enemy useless and set up hard attacks. This is the build I’m going for when I can equip mastercrafted wolven armor:Īllow me to explain it’s awesomeness. Let me know what you think of my build and have fun □ Most of the time i also use the Axii puppet-skill which can help you a lot in dialogs though in difficult fights there is obviously no need for it. I recommend acquiring the red perks first and mixing them with some powerful white-coloured ones until you have the right mutagens (greater red mutagens) to trigger the bonus you get when using all red talents. It suits a swift playstile with an excessive use of alchemy (which i am a great fan of) and the Quen sign (you dont need to invest points enhancing Quen because it blocks one griffins or cyclops or whatever strong monsters attack as it is). Incidentally, I love the defensive play in boss fights – makes perfect sense, but turning every fight into a boss fight a bad move IMHO Only need 50 points (this calculator) to hit the top skills, so room for a few odds and ends along the way, but aiming for Quen/Axii first as battle survivability with girly combat vs mob mentality mobs is a bitch at best light armour for practicality reasons (very few bits of heavy armour in a medieval RPG? meh, ill stick with the readily available simple stuff and miss harvesting dragon bones) Here’s what Im looking at based on rating analysis on another site, coupled with fresh re-start of game as not happy combat-wise early on – requires too much defensive play, and I want to finish fights quicker. 12/17/2022 0 Comments 3ds to cia converter tool
